This all started for me October 15, 2017 and I wouldn’t trade it in for the world . Entrepreneur meaning “ a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so dictionary.com) . ” Everyone automatically thinks because you have your own business it’s all fun and games but its not easy having people depend on you , having people try to lowball on your own product, to people asking for free products ,and just making sure your product is the best for your customer needs. Its all about how you handle or react to the problems you have to face. My favorite part about being an entrepreneur is that I can do whatever I want my ideas are mine and I don’t have to change my way of thinking I love having a free open mind to new ideas . Daily the hair industry/Beauty industry is changing you have to always think of new marketing tools and what’s appealing to the eye. When your a new upcoming business of course traffic to your website will be slow but that’s where the hard work comes in you have to keep promoting, doing give a ways , discounts on products . Word of mouth is the next big thing besides social media ! you have to get the public to know who you are make them see you on their Instagram or Facebook. It takes time to get the people to trust you and your product it does get discouraging , but don’t give up don't mope around and cry think of a different strategy to do.. So you can earn the people trust and attract them to your website. Never ever give up for what ? All your hard work will be wasted , time is one thing you cant get back that’s my reminder i always have when i get discouraged or frustrated. Michael Jordan didn’t become Jordan over night ! It takes dedication ,hard work , plus patience said the late great Nipsey Hussle(Song - Dedication) thats another line I keep in mind. Another thing people asking for free products the answer is NO that’s not how you make your money nor is going to get people to know who you are . People would get upset with me when I couldn’t give them anything for free thats not how the game goes we want to elevate not stay in the same place the whole time while being a business owner . I love to please everyone so saying no was hard , but I had to remember this is my vision no one will understand my drive or dedication to my brand because it’s not theirs.. in order to elevate we have to stay on the right path which is up . So its alright to say no don’t feel bad about it remember it’s your brand ! You make the rules . Finding the correct products for your brand is another thing you have to have the best in town or in the city because you know its other competition out there. For me finding the perfect vendor to me it’s no such thing because the hair industry/ beauty industry like I said earlier does change ..so I like to keep a few vendors in my mind pick and chose and try them out ! and when you find your favorite , consistent vendor you have a winner. I did go through a time where I had a horrible vendor some customers would say it’s soft, no smell , no shedding , beautiful bundles others would say the complete opposite so of course I reached out and told them the issue but at that time I had to double back and start from the drawing board again finding a new vendor. So yes things happen like this in the Entrepreneur world and it’s alright this what makes it worth it , keep going ! I just wanted to let you know things get hard but you push your way through it ! It’s in your push.. us women have to stick together to support and uplift each other !
You can’t give up because your a rockstar ! Owning your own business isn’t all fun and games behind the scene it gets real and it’s hard we are human too ! But remember if it was easy everyone would be doing it . Pat yourself on the back your doing a hell of a job !
